Welcome to the Classical Music Geek blog. I'm Emery Kerekes, the one playing cello in the middle of the photo above.

I eat, breathe, and sleep music. When I'm not in rehearsal or class, I can be found surfing Spotify for albums old and new, going to any and all concerts I can cram into my schedule, or sightreading chamber music with friends.

I am a geek in every sense of the word. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

With this blog, I want to help you love classical music more. I want to show you the pieces, recordings, and concerts that have pulled me (and continue to pull me) deep into the abyss of classical music -- a hole from which I hope never to emerge.
